10 December 2008
Come along for an evening of carols, mince pies and mulled wine, as we celebrate the annual Christmas tree lights switch on.
The lighting of the Christmas tree is part of 'Light up a life', which helps to raise money for the two Leeds charities; Wheatifelds Hospice and St. Gemma's.
People can help to raise money for the charities through Yorkshire Evening Post's half and half appeal and in return dedicate a light on the Christmas tree as a special memorial to your someone special.
The names of all those for whom a light has been sponsored will be listed on an Honours Board which will stand in the Courtyard at The Light from December 10 until the end of Christmas.
If you want to help the Light Up A Life Appeal send a donation to: The Editor's Secretary, Yorkshire Evening Post, Wellington Street, Leeds LS1 1RF. Cheques should be made out to YEP Half and Half Appeal.
The event takes place on St. Annes Gardens from 5:30pm
