City Centre Leeds has at last launched LeedsCast – Europe’s first virtual city guide – And The Light is home to one of the first LeedsCast zones. LeedsCast is delivered to your mobile phone using GoGo, a new mobile messaging system. LeedsCast went live at the start of summer 2008 to give residents, workers and visitors instant access to a virtual city guide delivered in seconds to their mobile phone. Whether seeking information on restaurants or bars, shops, attractions, events or even the latest news and weather forecasts, LeedsCast will ensure that all the answers are literally at your fingertips.

More than 20 LeedsCast zones have been installed across the city to deliver information relevant to the immediate area. These are in places of interests, visitor hot-spots, key city - centre access points and major retail locations including The Light.
