Following our Green Apple award in 2009, The Light has been succesfully upgraded to 'Green Hero' status. This is due to our continuous work and committment to helping the environment, which is part of our 'Give Recycling The Green Light' initiative. Our achievements include, recycling over 85% of our annual waste, using environmentally friendly lighting and supporting a local green charity (Meanwood Valley Urban Farm).
As part of our next initiative we are giving you the chance to get involved too by switching your usual disposable plastic bags to our lovely hessian reusable bags. They’re completely FREE and can be collected from the customer information point in the centre.
